Al Karam presents its prestigious Designer collection for the fall/winter season of 2012. Designed by high end Pakistani designer Umar Sayeed, the collection consists of khaddar & linen material for the warm and cozy feeling in winters. The color palette is vast with major deep contrasting colors visible as well. Shirt pieces come with embroideries on neck and back. Umar Sayeed has experimented with more patterns on the fabric which shows there is a lot happening on the cloth. In short the collection is better than many to come out this season, but could be more if he had kept it simple. The 3rd and last day of Pantene Bridal Couture Week Lahore 2012 opened to a packed house with Ahmad Bilal showing his bridal line highlighting the beauty of autumn colours and concentrating on different textures and volume. His showstopper was donned by Fiza Ali. Tabassum Mughal who had made her debut on the ramp with the last PBCW in Karachi, and had become an instant hit, showcased her royal collection inspired by both the Victorian age and the Mughal era.

An accomplished designer and master of couture from Pakistan, Umar Sayeed, was the final act of day 2 at Fashion Pakistan Week 2012 (FPW 3). The house of Umar Sayeed presented his four luxury lines Umar Sayeed light, Umar Batool, Umar Sayeed psyche and Umar Sayeed Couture. Starting off with fresh vibrant color gowns paired with monochromatic mosaic prints, the second part showcased his signature jhoola shirts and kali kurtas. The 10th Lux Style Awards 2011 were held in Expo center Karachi last night with awards presented in Fashion, Music, television & entertainment categories.
A night full of glamour & style, Lux style awards now have become the most prestigious awards of Pakistan aswell as most hyped up social event of the entertainment industry.
The show started with the National Anthem. The main hosts were former VJ Mahira Khan, BOL famed actress, Her MTV VJ partner Faizan Haque, and the guys from BNN (Banana News Network). The show was rocked by the stage performances from HSY & Reema, Aaminah Haque & Ammar Belal, Aamina Sheikh, Meera, Mathira, Ahsan Khan and Many More. Reema & HSY danced to the tune of Reema’s latest Movie track “Love Mein Ghum”.
This year’s Lux Style Awards also paid tribute to legendary actor Moin Akhtar who passed away recently.
