Following Akif’s presentation was renowned designer Sania Maskatiya’s ‘Ahgaaz’ Resort 2013 collection at the first day of PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week 2013. Inspired by the craft and motifs of 19th century Persian, Middle Eastern, Hispanic and Italian Renaissance ceramics and tiles. Blending powerful images of dragons, serpents and birds with bold geometric’s and floral’s into the warmth of rich hues and calm pastels, entering a garden of dreams and perilous new beginnings. Using a variety of fabrics such as raw silks, crepes, chiffon’s and shamoses, embroidered and digitally printed fabrics and screen prints with contemporary structured silhouettes, the collection sought to excite your senses as you entered the garden of new beginnings. The debut of Stitched and unstitched lawn prints by Sania Maskatiya with the collaboration of Sapphire Group, a textile company with over 50 years of experience. Sapphire Lawn by Sania Maskatiya is launched nationwide for the summers of 2013. Aimed at the moderm Pakistani women, Sapphire lawn is priced at a range between RS 4,450 – RS 5,450 for an un-stitched three piece outfit and RS 3,000 for stitched shirts. The brand has introduced 15 original designs with model and now actress Sana Sarfaraz as their brand ambassador. The 3rd and last day of Pantene Bridal Couture Week Lahore 2012 opened to a packed house with Ahmad Bilal showing his bridal line highlighting the beauty of autumn colours and concentrating on different textures and volume. His showstopper was donned by Fiza Ali. Tabassum Mughal who had made her debut on the ramp with the last PBCW in Karachi, and had become an instant hit, showcased her royal collection inspired by both the Victorian age and the Mughal era.
