HSY collection ‘Believe’ was the Finale of PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week 2013
[Lahore: April 30 2013] The Pakistan Fashion Design Council in collaboration with Sunsilk presented the final day of the sixth PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week 2013. In keeping with the objective of furthering fashion retail and synergistic high end design, textile manufacturers and buyers, fashion week included ramp shows by leading retail labels as well as textile houses along with a fully functional, state of the art exhibition area. The final day featured four High-Street fashion shows, an emerging talent show featuring the work of six up and coming fashion designers and seven designer prét-a-porter shows.

[Lahore: April 28 2013] The Pakistan Fashion Design Council in collaboration with Sunsilk presented the second day of the sixth PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week 2013. In keeping with the objective of furthering fashion retail and synergistic high end design, textile manufacturers and buyers, fashion week included ramp shows by leading retail labels as well as textile houses along with a fully functional, state of the art exhibition area. Day-2 featured four Voile shows from Pakistan’s leading Textile Houses and eight designer prét shows in the later evening.

In keeping with the objective of furthering fashion retail and synergizing high end design, textile manufacturers and buyers, fashion week includes ramp shows by leading retail labels as well as textile houses along with a fully functional, state of the art exhibition area. Day-1 marked the first day of the afternoon Voile Shows with eight designer prét-a-porter shows later in the evening.

Mehwish Hayat was the Showstopper for Sana Abbas
[Press Release, Karachi] The last day of Pantene Bridal Couture Week 2013 Karachi opened yesterday to a packed house with the decor once again changed, boasting white umbrellas hanging over the ramp and from the roof over the audience’s heads, enhancing the white backdrop, and new motifs on the ramp. Sana Abbas opened the show with her elegant bridal line in pastel colors and striking combinations. Her showstopper was donned by Mehwish Hayat. Nadya Mistry showcased an ultra-modern and funky bridal line. Her showstoppers were donned by Madiha Iftikhar, Amna Malik and Tipu. A star-studded and lively performance by BodyBeat Productions followed, featuring Hasan Rizvi himself, and stars such as Anoushay Ashraf, Kiran Khan, Sohai, Uroosa, Waqar, Hina Bayat and Tipu, which left the audience clapping and hooting in high spirits. Mifrah followed with her impressive and sophisticated bridal collection. Her showstoppers were donned by Faisal Qureshi, Aijaz Aslam and Amber Khan.

Indian Designers Anjalee & Arjun Kapoor showcased bling and ornate gowns & Saris
[Press Release, Karachi] The second day of Pantene Bridal Couture Week 2013 Karachi event saw a change in the décor and sets. The ramp had images that added colour to the stark whiteness of the background. The evening segment of PBCW opened with Lajwanti’s male and female collection, boasting brilliant combinations and tasteful designs. She was followed by Madiha Noman who caught the audience’s attention with her theatrical opening. The show ended with Maliha’s glittering jewellery comprising matha pattis, long earrings, necklaces and bracelets.

[Press Release, Karachi] Pantene Bridal Couture Week 2013 organized by Style360 kicked off to a rollicking start yesterday, on 19th April 2013. The beautifully decorated lounge and red carpet area, complete with fresh flower arrangements set the tone for the evening. The ramp created on straight, modern lines gave a beautifully contemporary look in marked contrast to the more classic sets normally used at PBCW. Playing with layers and lights and images of nature the set was stark white so as not to detract attention from the clothes and gave a surreal look to the venue.
