8The 11th Lux Style Awards 2012 were held in Expo center Karachi on 10th July, 2012 with awards presented in Fashion, Music, Film & television categories.

The only prestigious event of the country on such large scale is the Lux Style Awards which completes its 11th run tonight. A much needed Entertainment event that shifts the focus from all the worse that is happening in the country to glamour, fun, elegance and style.
One of the most prominent feature of this year’s awards was the increase in the award categories to 26 this year. It just shows how Lux Style Awards now are one of the premiere awards of the country. This year awards were presented to the Pakistan’s best in Fashion, Music, Film and Television.
Before the main show was the Red Carpet event, which was a green carpet event instead following a simple theme. All the dazzling celebrities made their way for the event as Moomal Sheikh, daughter of Javed sheikh, hosted the Green carpet. Controversial Mathira showed up in Ali Xeeshan’s floral print long dress with butterfly shaped broaches at the top in the front. Aamina Sheikh and Mohib Mirza also embraced the event as Aamina wore Maheen Karim’s gold outfit and Mohib Mirza in three piece black suit from Zara. Supermodels Ayyan, Konain and Hira Tareen also appeared on the Green carpet. Other noticeable celebrities were Bushra Ansari, Sharmeen Obaid, Filmstar Sana, Meera, Faisal Qureshi, Sadia Imam, Mahira Khan and many more.

The stars at the 10th Lux Style Awards showcase their style at the Red Carpet event before the ceremony. Its a fascinating event where all the dazzling celebrities appear in their unique style & glamour. The red carpet event was hosted by Mathira, Amna Ilyas was judged as the best dressed female celebrity on the red carpet, wearing Fahad Hussayn’s creation, a beautiful blue gown. Other stars also lighted up the event in their dazzling costumes and many more renowned celebrities including artists, actors, models, fashion designers, fashion photographers and more all appeared on this glamorous night. The 10th Lux Style Awards 2011 were held in Expo center Karachi last night with awards presented in Fashion, Music, television & entertainment categories.
A night full of glamour & style, Lux style awards now have become the most prestigious awards of Pakistan aswell as most hyped up social event of the entertainment industry.
The show started with the National Anthem. The main hosts were former VJ Mahira Khan, BOL famed actress, Her MTV VJ partner Faizan Haque, and the guys from BNN (Banana News Network). The show was rocked by the stage performances from HSY & Reema, Aaminah Haque & Ammar Belal, Aamina Sheikh, Meera, Mathira, Ahsan Khan and Many More. Reema & HSY danced to the tune of Reema’s latest Movie track “Love Mein Ghum”.
This year’s Lux Style Awards also paid tribute to legendary actor Moin Akhtar who passed away recently.
