The final show of Act 1 at PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week 2013 Day 2 was presented by acclaimed design label Nickie Nina who showcased their Spring/Summer prét-a-porter collection titled ‘Swinging Byzantium’. As the name suggests, the label had drawn inspiration from Byzantine and Medieval heraldry coupled with the 1960′s Mod movement. Featuring colors such as gold, black, burnt orange, poppy red, lemon zest, Monaco blue and royal blue nectarine, the collection was based in rich fabrics such as silk, net, Chantilly lace with digital prints, block prints and stone and swarovski crystal embellishments. Key trends that were showcased in this collection were bold prints, metallic accents, short A-line hems and tapered pants. Check out her complete collection below!

The third day closed with Nickie Nina’s collection for PFDC L’Oréal Paris Bridal Week 2012 titled ‘Baroque’ – inspired by the 17th century European vintage artistic style. With fabrics such as pure silk, chiffon, jamawar and velvet, Nickie Nina’s couture craftsmanship was manifest in the ‘Baroque’ collection with antique gold hand embellishment and colorful thread work with cuts from the ‘traditional-eastern-meets-western-period’. Nickie Nina had engaged a diverse range of colors from cerulean, sea-green, deep plum to lemon yellow and beige for ‘Baroque’. The 3rd and last day of Pantene Bridal Couture Week Lahore 2012 opened to a packed house with Ahmad Bilal showing his bridal line highlighting the beauty of autumn colours and concentrating on different textures and volume. His showstopper was donned by Fiza Ali. Tabassum Mughal who had made her debut on the ramp with the last PBCW in Karachi, and had become an instant hit, showcased her royal collection inspired by both the Victorian age and the Mughal era.

The third day of PFDC L’Oréal Paris Bridal Week 2012 featured an exclusive trend show by TONI&GUY Lahore featuring designer Mohsin Ali, followed by solo bridal showcases by Élan, Layla Chatoor and Nickie Nina respectively. Each day of PFDC L’Oréal Paris Bridal Week is being styled by a different creative and make-up team presenting their interpretation of bridal make-up trends for the season and to this end, Day 3 was styled by TONI&GUY Lahore.

Designers showcasing at PFDC L’Oréal Paris Bridal Week represent a diversity of aesthetics ranging from those steeped in tradition, design houses who focus on bridal fusion wear and those who are inspired by the more contemporary bride. Presenting collections at PFDC L’Oréal Paris Bridal Week 2012 are: Misha Lakhani, AZZA and Sonia Azhar on Day-1; Asifa & Nabeel, Teena by Hina Butt and The Ali Xeeshan Theater Studio on Day-2; Élan, Layla Chatoor and Nickie Nina on Day-3 and Fahad Hussayn, Nida Azwer, Saai and HSY on Day-4.
