Day 1’s finale was presented by acclaimed couturier Maria B who presented her Spring/Summer collection for PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week 2013 titled ‘The Sunshine Collection’ inspired by happiness, joy, innocence and youth. The color palette featured bright candy colors in hues of corals, pinks, tangerine with hints of aqua marine and lemon yellows which had been used to come out with a clean silhouette combined with flattering volumes. The emphasis was on bold prints and asymmetric, modern patterns that formed the soul of the collection had been designed using pure cottons, Khaddars and hand printed silks and hints of embellishments and high – impact wearable accessories. Before the closing of first segment at Pantene Bridal Couture Week 2012 Lahore edition, renowned designer Maria B presented her “Ara Collection” on the 1st day. Maria B. is one of the largest manufacturers and retailers of women’s fashion in Pakistan. Her eponymous brand was launched with a vision to revolutionize women’s retail in the country and to create Pakistan’s first women’s fashion brand. Her collection was impressive yet could have been better. Few hits and misses, to go with eye catching angarkha that Nadia Hussain modeled. Pantene Bridal Couture Week 2012 organized by Style360 kicked off to a rollicking start today at Lahore. The beautifully decorated lounge and red carpet area, complete with fresh flower arrangements set the tone for the evening. The ramp decorated with Mughal arches, jharokas, picture windows, beautiful chandeliers, flower-peacocks and fresh flower arrangements all helped to give a surreal look to the venue.

Lawn started just a year back in 2011 and received a positive response and feedback from the consumers as well as “sitting at home internet” critics. Maria B lawn is all about screen designs printed on lawn with chiffon dupattas. The colors are their blending are the standout and eye catching quality of this designer series. The 2012 lawn collection of Maria B. has introduced different techniques and inspired prints. It includes blending of three colors in stripes and flowers, Paisleys inspired prints in three colors, Chicken-kari inspired prints in three colors and three colors in damask prints. There a bright colors on offer too as well as sophisticated elegant dark colors with amazing fusion of embroidered patterns and colors.
