[Lahore: April 30 2013] The Pakistan Fashion Design Council in collaboration with Sunsilk presented the final day of the sixth PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week 2013. In keeping with the objective of furthering fashion retail and synergistic high end design, textile manufacturers and buyers, fashion week included ramp shows by leading retail labels as well as textile houses along with a fully functional, state of the art exhibition area. The final day featured four High-Street fashion shows, an emerging talent show featuring the work of six up and coming fashion designers and seven designer prét-a-porter shows.
The final show of PFDC L’Oréal Paris Bridal Week 2012 was by HSY with his bridal collection titled ‘City of Gardens’ inspired by the inner city of Lahore, renowned as the City of Gardens. A city submerged in history and culture with every wall, every house, every street having its own story, with City of Gardens, HSY endeavored to portray this richness in his collection highlighting the colors and heritage of Lahore. With both women’s wear and menswear pieces in the collection, HSY worked in pure fabrics such as chiffons, silks, raw silks and organza’s, pairing these with embroideries from different regions across Pakistan. With simple and traditional cuts complimenting every body type, HSY used fun and bright colors ranging from yellow and orange to red, magenta and purple for the City of Gardens. The 3rd and last day of Pantene Bridal Couture Week Lahore 2012 opened to a packed house with Ahmad Bilal showing his bridal line highlighting the beauty of autumn colours and concentrating on different textures and volume. His showstopper was donned by Fiza Ali. Tabassum Mughal who had made her debut on the ramp with the last PBCW in Karachi, and had become an instant hit, showcased her royal collection inspired by both the Victorian age and the Mughal era.
The fourth and final day of PFDC L’Oréal Paris Bridal Week 2012 featured an exclusive trend show by Khawar Riaz featuring Adnan Pardesy followed by solo bridal showcases by Fahad Hussayn, Nida Azwer, Saai and HSY respectively. Each day of PFDC L’Oréal Paris Bridal Week was styled by a different creative and make-up team presenting their interpretation of bridal make-up looks for the season and to this end, the fourth and final day was styled by Khawar Riaz.

Designers showcasing at PFDC L’Oréal Paris Bridal Week represent a diversity of aesthetics ranging from those steeped in tradition, design houses who focus on bridal fusion wear and those who are inspired by the more contemporary bride. Presenting collections at PFDC L’Oréal Paris Bridal Week 2012 are: Misha Lakhani, AZZA and Sonia Azhar on Day-1; Asifa & Nabeel, Teena by Hina Butt and The Ali Xeeshan Theater Studio on Day-2; Élan, Layla Chatoor and Nickie Nina on Day-3 and Fahad Hussayn, Nida Azwer, Saai and HSY on Day-4.

Club Caramel’s Kiran Chaudhry again features in a photo shoot this time for Instep magazine. A spring/summer shoot for 2012 by fashion house L’atelier, a multi label store which is a one stop shop for all woman. Kiran Chaudhry’s Photo Shoot for L’atelier Spring/Summer 2012
The World of HSY Prints brings the 2012 Lawn Prints collection by HSY, also known as the couture king of Pakistan. Featuring Mehreen Syed as the brand ambassador, Hassan Shehryar Yasin presents the lawn prints inspired from the global culture referencing the Ottoman Empire, paisleys from Persia, florals from Havana, Ikat from South America to regal embroideries and motifs of Lucknow. There are total of 14 designs available with two color options. The use of color is diverse ranging from sunny yellow and ice blue to bright orange, pink, deep red and purple. The fabric used are quite a few including lawn, chiffons and silk. Yet another enchanting collection put forward by HSY design house for the Summer season of 2012.
