Noori Live at the Rock Musicarium CD is ready for Release

Noori, after reuniting in May’11 have become quite active once again after releasing their single “Taaron Se Aagay”. After some kickass gigs and concert in major cities, Noori is coming up with first time ever Live concert CD of Pakistan. Live at the Rock Musicarium was held in Islamabad, 25th February.
Noori’s brand new lineup for live events includes Zeeshan Pervaiz on synths and loops and Faraz Anwar on lead guitars. Another member that has joined this badass lineup is Kashif Ejaz who is an audio engineer. He’s going to be Noori’s Audio guy for both live performances and studio recordings.

Coke Studio Season 4 Begins 22nd May 2011

The official news is out and the much awaited season of every summer, the season of coke studio, is soon going to be upon us. May 22nd is the date for the first show. The official season 4 promo is out which continues to strengthen the hype of this much awaited TV show. Even though the final performing artists list is not out yet, but to our information two indian musicians Rabbi Shergil & kailash Kher are part of the lineup. Among Pakistani artists Jal the Band, Sajjad Ali, Bilal Khan, Mekaal Hassan band, Kaavish, Faraz Anwar, Quratulain Balouch are known to be a part of season 4. (more…)

Uth records second episode Airs today which introduced us with artists “Yasir & Jawad.” Ironically though none of these both names are representing the singer “Wali.” This is a band based from Peshawar with a folk genre, Initially formed in 2008 Yasir Rehman plays the traditional instrument “Rubaab” Jawad Iqbal is on Rhthym Guitars & Abdul Wali Orakzai is the Lead Vocalist. Traditional Folk Pashto Melody is what we can expect from this band and thats what it gives. A soulful Number That You should check out. Heres the Episode. Enjoy
