Samee was recently award the lifetime achievement award at the 11th Annual Lux Style Awards. Faiza Samee design has an unparalleled expertise in some of the rarest and most intricate embroideries in the world. Faiza Samee’s mastery of her art has won her international acclaim. Among her many achievements she was chosen to create the late Benazir Bhutto’s wedding outfit and have exhibited pieces at the Victoria & Albert Museum in London. Immensely popular with clientele at home and in India and the Middle East, Faiza Samee is a credit to Pakistan and its fashion industry. Therefore, it would only make sense that Faiza Samee would best person to create Al-Karam Eid lawn collection for this year.

The event took place at Emeral Model where some of the top models wore the exquisite lawn designed by Faiza Samee the models for the show were; Amna Ilyas, Mehreen Syed, Iraj Manzoor, Fouzia, Areeba, Saima Azher, Abeer, Sehrish, Maha, Sana Khan, Nadia Balouch and Iqra.

8The 11th Lux Style Awards 2012 were held in Expo center Karachi on 10th July, 2012 with awards presented in Fashion, Music, Film & television categories.

The only prestigious event of the country on such large scale is the Lux Style Awards which completes its 11th run tonight. A much needed Entertainment event that shifts the focus from all the worse that is happening in the country to glamour, fun, elegance and style.
One of the most prominent feature of this year’s awards was the increase in the award categories to 26 this year. It just shows how Lux Style Awards now are one of the premiere awards of the country. This year awards were presented to the Pakistan’s best in Fashion, Music, Film and Television.
Before the main show was the Red Carpet event, which was a green carpet event instead following a simple theme. All the dazzling celebrities made their way for the event as Moomal Sheikh, daughter of Javed sheikh, hosted the Green carpet. Controversial Mathira showed up in Ali Xeeshan’s floral print long dress with butterfly shaped broaches at the top in the front. Aamina Sheikh and Mohib Mirza also embraced the event as Aamina wore Maheen Karim’s gold outfit and Mohib Mirza in three piece black suit from Zara. Supermodels Ayyan, Konain and Hira Tareen also appeared on the Green carpet. Other noticeable celebrities were Bushra Ansari, Sharmeen Obaid, Filmstar Sana, Meera, Faisal Qureshi, Sadia Imam, Mahira Khan and many more.
