Qayaas’s Philosophy behind the song
‘Shehrezade’ is an invocation of the evil, seemingly beautiful people (in this case a woman) are capable of. The title itself is reminiscent of classical fairy tales building to an expectation of a love ballad, only here the beauty of the name belies the darkness and torment it actually evokes. It is like the lingering shadow of a nightmare that threatens to taint reality with its virulence. ‘Shehrezade’ is not merely a name but an entity, a world where modesty and debauchery, beauty and ugliness, good and evil are all black and white. There can be no shades of gray filtered through the permissiveness of new age morality. It is a most primitive defense mechanism against the beauty in evil and the evil in beauty.

The last episode of the season 1 of Ufone Uth Records, Introduces us to the talents of Lahore based band “RamLaL”. Its been a long journey for this band which started in Lahore.The band members, Muhammad Agha and Mohammad Fazli, have been playing music together since their teens but decided to start a band three years ago. RamLaL is a contemporary band that works with a diversity of eclectic sounds and influences to produce unique compositions.
Speaking about their experience on the Ufone Uth Records platform and on their interaction with the producers the band has said
Ufone Uth Records producers are skilled individuals; working alongside them has been a great experience and was a lot of fun.

After Exciting introductions of Very Talented “Jumbo Jutt“, “Yasir & Jawad” and “Usman Riaz” on Ufone Uth Records, its time for a female artist to showcase her talent on Uth Records Platform. Natasha Ejaz is one of Pakistan’s exciting Uth musicians. This talented young singer, guitar player and songwriter is also currently working with fellow students in Malaysia getting together some twelve minutes of her music and also working on a concept album, along the lines of storytelling. She is also working on recording another single to release soon in Pakistan. Natasha hopes that Uth Records puts her in the spot for the right people to listen to her to want to work with her. This is an exciting episode as the collaboration with Taha Malik (from Kostal) is in Houston, USA. He mixes the beats and gives it all that electronica feel.
