The final show of PFDC L’Oréal Paris Bridal Week 2012 was by HSY with his bridal collection titled ‘City of Gardens’ inspired by the inner city of Lahore, renowned as the City of Gardens. A city submerged in history and culture with every wall, every house, every street having its own story, with City of Gardens, HSY endeavored to portray this richness in his collection highlighting the colors and heritage of Lahore. With both women’s wear and menswear pieces in the collection, HSY worked in pure fabrics such as chiffons, silks, raw silks and organza’s, pairing these with embroideries from different regions across Pakistan. With simple and traditional cuts complimenting every body type, HSY used fun and bright colors ranging from yellow and orange to red, magenta and purple for the City of Gardens.
