Adnan Pardesy for The Working Woman’s first collection for winter 2012/13 comprises of Pardesy’s signature design elements; simplicity in design and intricate detail in structure. The label is being launched in Lahore at The Working Woman flagship store in Cavalry Ground where the label will be introducing their brand ambassador, musician Zoe Viccaji, who will also be performing live at the main launch event. In this first phase of Adnan’s collaboration with The Working Woman, he has created a diffusion line of his previous and current lines – catering exclusively to Pakistan’s urban Working Woman. Day 4 of PFDC L’Oréal Paris Bridal Week 2012 opened with a trend show by Khawar Riaz featuring Adnan Pardesy showcasing his interpretation of bridal make-up looks for 2012 – 2013 based on the theme, “the devdas women… are still a bride’s inspiration”. At Khawar Riaz, the Brides are a complete depiction of an innocent yet radiant, unmatched Beauty. His philosophy of Make-up is flawless yet subtle and breaking the norms of the typical drag Queen (the typical dark eyed bronzy make-up) culture; his prime focus is to make The Bride look Classy and Royal. While satisfying his own quest for Art and combining that with his knowledge of facial bone structure, the texture of skin, the quality of color and the slant of light; with primarily focusing on the Bride’s personality more, rather than making her a Soulless Beauty. Here’s the complete make over devdas look for brides by Khawar Riaz from PLBW 2012 day 4.

The grand finale of the second day of Fashion Pakistan Week 2012 (FPW 4) was presented by Adnan Pardesy. Adnan Pardesy’s Fall/Winter collection 2012 “Axiomatic” redefines the craft of ‘ ralli ’ and brings a unique perspective to modern day couture. Axiomatic employs various hand-crafted techniques such as weaving, cross-pleating and gathering of ribbons and fabrics, amalgamating them visually, in a non-contradictory fashion, to create an unquestionable style statement. Adnan Pardesy’s collection was complimented by Kiran Aman’s Jewelry collection Barzakh from her label ‘So KFJ’ . Barzakh, with its bold and solid black onyx projections, accentuated by the simple use of 22 karat beaten gold accents, dividing each solid shape symmetrically, comes together as a contradiction to Pardesy’s colorful merge of techniques.
