Filmstar Meera is all ready to jump in to politics as she is likely to contest in the upcoming elections due to be held in May. Meera’s mother Shafqat Zarar Bokhari has also filed her own nomination papers as well to contest in the polls. Speaking to Media sources, Meera’s mother revealed that Meera will run for Punjab Assembly seat, most probably from Lahore. Meera will contest the election from the ticket of Justice Party, a recently formed group by Lawyers.

The 3rd and last day of Pantene Bridal Couture Week Lahore 2012 opened to a packed house with Ahmad Bilal showing his bridal line highlighting the beauty of autumn colours and concentrating on different textures and volume. His showstopper was donned by Fiza Ali. Tabassum Mughal who had made her debut on the ramp with the last PBCW in Karachi, and had become an instant hit, showcased her royal collection inspired by both the Victorian age and the Mughal era.

The 11th Lux Style Awards 2012 were held in Expo center Karachi on 10th July, 2012 with awards presented in Fashion, Music, Film & television categories.
The 11th Lux Style Awards 2012 presented a Green carpet rather than Red following a certain theme. However, as the stars started appearing at the venue, attention shifted towards these dazzling, glamorous & stylish celebrities. The red carpet was hosted by Moomal Sheikh, daughter of actor Javed Sheikh. Sanam Chaudhri & Umair Tabani were adjudged Best dressed female and male at red carpet respectively. Noticeable celebrities were Bushra Ansari, Jia Ali, Mahira Khan, Aamina Sheikh, Mohib Mirza, Supermodels Ayyan, Hira Tareen, Konain, Rabia Butt, Designers Sanam Chaudhri, Wardha Saleem, controversial Mathira, Meera along with many others. Lux Style Awards 2012 – Winners List with Event Pictures
8The 11th Lux Style Awards 2012 were held in Expo center Karachi on 10th July, 2012 with awards presented in Fashion, Music, Film & television categories.

The only prestigious event of the country on such large scale is the Lux Style Awards which completes its 11th run tonight. A much needed Entertainment event that shifts the focus from all the worse that is happening in the country to glamour, fun, elegance and style.
One of the most prominent feature of this year’s awards was the increase in the award categories to 26 this year. It just shows how Lux Style Awards now are one of the premiere awards of the country. This year awards were presented to the Pakistan’s best in Fashion, Music, Film and Television.
Before the main show was the Red Carpet event, which was a green carpet event instead following a simple theme. All the dazzling celebrities made their way for the event as Moomal Sheikh, daughter of Javed sheikh, hosted the Green carpet. Controversial Mathira showed up in Ali Xeeshan’s floral print long dress with butterfly shaped broaches at the top in the front. Aamina Sheikh and Mohib Mirza also embraced the event as Aamina wore Maheen Karim’s gold outfit and Mohib Mirza in three piece black suit from Zara. Supermodels Ayyan, Konain and Hira Tareen also appeared on the Green carpet. Other noticeable celebrities were Bushra Ansari, Sharmeen Obaid, Filmstar Sana, Meera, Faisal Qureshi, Sadia Imam, Mahira Khan and many more.
