Hussain

Nowhere to hang his Gold Medal

1

By Mirza Ahmed Ali

As Hussain lifted his gold medal to the screens, hundreds of villagers in his native village celebrated for the first time in months. “This is no ordinary festival, we have been waiting for a scrap of good news for months and this is one of our own children doing us proud,” said 76-year-old shopkeeper Chaudhery Ahmed Doda.

“It is amazing to see a local wrestler become a world champion. You should have seen his family celebrate, they spent months standing in lines for Watan Cards to rebuild their homes and now they are over the moon,” said neighbour Altaf.

Abdul Qadir, Azhar Hussain’s father said “He won for us and for his country. I am so proud of the fact that my son has given us all hope when we so desperately need it.”

Qadir and his family lost their home and a large portion of their land in the floods and are now working to rebuild. He said that after Hussain’s victory in India scores of relatives and friends had been visiting him from remote villages in the province. “Stranger’s are bringing us mithai and greeting us on the street, it is wonderful,” he said. Money Buys Everything

Let me familiarize you with some more confusing thoughts. You heard the phrase “patience is virtue”. How many times you waited for something, or something to happen but it never did ? Patience hardly ever worked for me. Therefore the phrase “patience is virtue” is a total bullshit. I tell you why. We don’t know anymore if Pakistan is Islamic republic or a peaceful country, I feel like we are forgetting the point of our country why it was made, it just makes me feel like our Quaid and our great grandparents shouldn’t have suffered for us because we don’t deserve a independent nation, we or us Pakistanis lost our path. We just want to think of ourselves and we are too selfish. We (more…)

WE are Living dead souls

I am totally numb. To be honest today is the day i feel ashamed of what i am, Ashamed of being a human, ashamed of being a PAKISTANI. Why our ancestors fought for our homeland? Do we even had any ideology behind creating a separate nation? What i learned from my history books and Pakistan studies classes is that Hindus and Muslims were a separate nation. (more…)

How to be confident…

1

It is very important for all of us to be confident because if you have low self-esteem or confidence it can lead to severe things as it makes the other person seem less important than others or you put no value in your self. Many people who are less confident or have low esteem are made like that by others behavior towards them, this can be because when they were growing up they were told constantly by certain people or even their own family they’re less important than others, which is highly pathetic. What people would think!!

1

Ever tried thinking outside the box ? If u have given it some thought then did u try to implement ur thoughts practically? There are things that we want to do, but there are other things that we are made to do. Whenever an idea creeps up in our mind about doing sumthing at once another thought blasts in our head that is “what would people think?”
