11th Lux Style Awards 2012 - Winners List with Event Pictures

The 11th Lux Style Awards 2012 were held in Expo center Karachi on 10th July, 2012 with awards presented in Fashion, Music, Film & television categories.

The only prestigious event of the country on such large scale is the Lux Style Awards which completes its 11th run tonight. A much needed Entertainment event that shifts the focus from all the worse that is happening in the country to glamour, fun, elegance and style.

One of the most prominent feature of this year’s awards was the increase in the award categories to 26 this year. It just shows how Lux Style Awards now are one of the premiere awards of the country. This year awards were presented to the Pakistan’s best in Fashion, Music, Film and Television.

Before the main show was the Red Carpet event, which was a green carpet event instead following a simple theme. All the dazzling celebrities made their way for the event as Moomal Sheikh, daughter of Javed sheikh, hosted the Green carpet. Controversial Mathira showed up in Ali Xeeshan’s floral print long dress with butterfly shaped broaches at the top in the front. Aamina Sheikh and Mohib Mirza also embraced the event as Aamina wore Maheen Karim’s gold outfit and Mohib Mirza in three piece black suit from Zara. Supermodels Ayyan, Konain and Hira Tareen also appeared on the Green carpet. Other noticeable celebrities were Bushra Ansari, Sharmeen Obaid, Filmstar Sana, Meera, Faisal Qureshi, Sadia Imam, Mahira Khan and many more.

The show included performances by Ahmed Butt, Mathira and Junaid Khan (Call) for paying tribute to Ahmed Rushdi, Humaima Malick, Meera and Ali Zafar who also payed a soulful tribute to legendary Mehdi Hassan who passed away recently.

The management promised live streaming of the event as well for the very first time. But as it is, the experiment was a disaster, with viewers raging over social media networks of the stream not working at all. The show wrapped up late at night as Ali Zafar payed tribute to the legend Mehdi Hassan. All in all a glamorous eventful night that summed up to be quite exciting. We now wait for LSA 2013.
